Hensley is a writer and director from a small town in Indiana. Starting as an assistant on daytime's #1 show, “The Young and the Restless,” she became an associate head writer by age 28. In 2020, she received a Writers Guild of America Award and Emmy nomination.
This colloquium served as an opportunity for students to hear about the experience of being on a production team, and how every piece of the production depends on another. Speakers like Hensley aid students in gaining a clearer understanding of the professional landscape and discerning their future career paths more effectively. 艾米丽·沃恩, a freshman film major who attended the event, 说, “It was super cool to hear about that from someone who has experience and is working in that field. I thought her experiences and advice was good and something I can also apply to me.”
